Hunts

In To Be A, hunting is a core gameplay mechanic where players battle creatures to gain experience, gold, loot, and progress in the Bestiary. Hunts can be solo or in a party, each with unique mechanics and requirements. This page covers the hunting system, including stamina, potions, spells, creature details, and rewards.

Overview

Hunts involve battling creatures displayed as cards in the hunt interface. Each creature has stats like hitpoints, attack, defense, experience, gold, and loot. Players can navigate through creature cards and start a hunt by selecting a creature and choosing a duration (1, 4, or 6 hours). Hunts require stamina, and longer durations require food items.

  • Stamina Cost: 1 stamina for 1-hour hunts, 6 for 4-hour hunts, 10 for 6-hour hunts.
  • Food Requirement: For hunts longer than 1 hour, players need enough food items (e.g., 4 food for a 4-hour hunt).
  • Cooldown: Players cannot start a new hunt or training session while a hunt is active.
  • Captcha: Starting a hunt requires solving a simple math captcha to prevent automation.

Solo Hunts

Solo hunts pit your character against a chosen creature. The outcome depends on your character's stats (attack, defense, hitpoints), the creature's stats, and equipped items like potions and spells. You can cancel a solo hunt at any time, receiving partial rewards based on the time elapsed.

  • Mechanics: Damage is calculated each second (turn) based on your attack minus the creature's defense, and vice versa. Creatures may heal or land critical hits based on their level.
  • Potions: Health Potions automatically restore hitpoints during a hunt if equipped and available.
  • Rewards: Experience, gold, and loot are awarded based on creatures defeated. Premium accounts gain +20% experience and +10% gold.

Party Hunts

Party hunts allow 2-3 players to team up, combining their stats for stronger battles. Only the party leader can start a hunt, and all members must meet minimum requirements (level, attack, defense, stamina, and food).

  • Party Creation: The leader sets minimum stats for joining (e.g., level, attack, defense, stamina). Parties can have up to 3 members.
  • Combined Stats: Attack and defense are summed and multiplied by 0.55 (2 members) or 0.4 (3 members) to balance rewards.
  • Restrictions: Party hunts cannot be canceled, and members cannot leave during an active hunt.
  • Rewards: Shared among members, with each receiving experience, gold, and loot based on the party's performance.

Spells

Equipped spells can enhance hunts by triggering special effects based on a chance percentage. Spells interact with creature weaknesses or provide unique benefits.

Spell Effect
Fire Power Deals 5x damage if the creature is weak to fire.
Ice Power Deals 5x damage if the creature is weak to ice.
Poison Power Deals 5x damage if the creature is weak to poison.
Energy Power Deals 5x damage if the creature is weak to energy.
Critical Deals 2x damage on activation.
Light Heal Restores 10 hitpoints, up to max hitpoints.
Dodge Reduces incoming damage by 50% for that turn.
Reflect Adds creature's attack to your damage for that turn.

Bestiary

The Bestiary tracks your progress in defeating creatures. Each creature defeated is recorded, and after defeating 10,000 of a specific creature, you can complete its bestiary entry, earning 1 bestiary point used for unlocking spells.

  • Progress: View your defeated creature count in the bestiary modal.
  • Completion: Completing an entry requires 10,000 defeats and grants a bestiary point.

Rewards

Hunts reward experience, gold, and loot based on creatures defeated. Premium accounts and equipped food items can boost rewards:

  • Experience: Base experience per creature, increased by +20% for premium accounts and food boosts (e.g., +10% from certain foods).
  • Gold: Base gold per creature, increased by +10% for premium accounts and food boosts.
  • Loot: Items drop based on creature loot tables, with drop chances enhanced by food luck boosts.

Hunt History

The hunt history modal displays your last 5 hunts, showing details like creature name, creatures defeated, potions used, experience, gold, loot, and status (completed or canceled).
